Pickup
Begin your adventure with a pickup from your hotel in our iconic open-top 4x4 Jeep. Set off into the heart of the stunning Mai Chau Valley, surrounded by towering mountains and vibrant green fields. Buckle up in our Jeep as we head toward our first stop.
Cha Long Village – Rice Wine and Local Traditions
Our first stop takes us to Cha Long Village, where we’ll explore the traditional craft of rice wine making. Here, you’ll meet local families, watch the rice wine production process, and enjoy a glass of freshly distilled wine. This is a unique chance to learn about local Thai ethnic community life and the significance of rice wine in their culture.
Go Lao Waterfall – Nature’s Majesty
A short drive takes you to Go Lao Waterfall, one of the largest and most impressive in the region. You’ll have time to admire the cascading waters surrounded by lush greenery, taking in the serene beauty of this natural wonder in our open-top Jeep discovering the sights, sounds, and smells of nature up close.
Khan Ha Village – Hoa Binh Lake - Ha Long on the Mountain
Next, we head to Khan Ha Village, home to the Muong ethnic people. In this peaceful village, we stop by a local place to refresh and soak in the views of the area buckled up in our 4x4 Jeep, experiencing local life in a safe, immersive way. The journey up to this village is incredibly scenic, with winding roads that offer spectacular views of the lake, the scenic photo spot overlooking Hoa Binh Lake, often called “Ha Long on the Mountain” due to its beauty and serene atmosphere.
Thung Khe Pass – Mountain Peaks and Spectacular Views
As we make our way towards Thung Khe Pass with our experienced driver and guide leading the way, the road takes us up to the peak of the mountain, where you’ll be greeted with awe-inspiring views of the opposite side of Mai Chau Valley. From this vantage point, you’ll see the distant mountain tops and valley tops stretching far into the horizon. After soaking in the panoramic views, we descend to the pass, where sweeping views of Mai Chau Valley and its surrounding areas unfold before your eyes. (For the sundown tour, this is the perfect spot to witness the sunset over Mai Chau Valley.)
